Kelly McDonald is the owner and CEO of the McDonald Group, Inc., a firm specializing in estate planning – both substantial estates and modest estates.  Kelly’s passion is teaching people how to plan for a financially comfortable retirement.  His retirement seminars have been widely attended by people throughout Western Tennessee and Western Kentucky.

In addition to providing information for groups, Kelly also offers intensive, one-on-one consultations.  As an Investment Advisor Representative* (with Sunset Financial Services, Inc.)* licensed in the state of Tennessee, Kelly assists his clients in avoiding unnecessary income and capital gains taxes, increasing spendable income, funding educational nest eggs, circumventing probate, and preventing excessive estate taxes.  He consistently helps clients protect their assets and increase their wealth. 

A graduate of The University of Tennessee at Martin, Kelly earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Education.  Since that time, Kelly has continued his education through American College in Bryn Mawr,

Kelly is a Life member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table, a designation achieved by less than 3% of all financial and insurance professionals industry-wide.  In 2011, he attained the Top of the Table, a designation held by less than 1% of the industry.

Kelly has served his community as treasurer and trustee of Trinity Baptist Church and as a member of the Jackson Area Life Underwriter’s Association.  He and his wife, Teressa, have four children, Oliver of Baltimore, Maryland; Terri of Jackson, Tennessee; Kelly, Jr., and Jack, both of Jackson.  Kelly spends his rare free time improving his golf game.
